Raven Book Sculpture

Though Edgar Allan Poe published his poem The Raven in 1894, it is still lauded today for its use of language and sinister atmosphere.


The raven appears as a distraught man is mourning the loss of his love affair, and repeats the word “Nevermore” when asked any question by the man.


I love Poe’s work and wanted to make a raven book sculpture to guard one of my bookcases. You could, of course, make any animal – or human – character from your favourite book using the papier-mâché method below.
